The Proposer Q&A process gives CTA Purchasing Department the ability to route bidder comments from Draft/Preliminary RFPs, RFPs and LIQs to responsible CTA Departments, including Infrastructure, Diversity, Law, Risk Management and Finance. The Purchasing Department will export comments from Bonfire, CTA’s e-procurement platform, and as they are submitted, assign responsible departments to respond to by clear deadlines. Responses will be routed to INF executives and Law to review and approve. Once complete, the Purchasing Department will import the responses back into Bonfire. This process was previously done via email. Having a Proposer Q&A process in e-Builder will provide transparency for responsible responders and ensure the contractor is receiving responses from their comments in a timely manner. Note, due to a time, security and cost impact, an automated integration between Bonfire and e-Builder was not explored.
